Following Kang Daniel’s official end of his “First Parade” world tour with a two-day finale in Seoul earlier this month, the K-pop superstar announced the release of an accompanying documentary film to mark the career milestone coming to movie theaters worldwide.

KANGDANIEL: MY PARADE will play to audiences on August 30 and September 2, 2023, in cinemas around the world. According to a press release and accompanying website for the flick, the concert doc shows not only performances from the tour but also rehearsals, heartfelt interviews and discussions, plus behind-the-scenes footage that look at the journey of Daniel’s atypical K-pop career thus far:

Trafalgar Releasing and WYS En Scenea are teaming up to bring the documentary to select cinemas worldwide.

KANGDANIEL: MY PARADE is Trafalgar Releasing’s third collaboration with WYS En Scene. The latter (whose name translates to What You See on Stage) is a hybrid studio focused on live-performance films and previously teamed with Trafalgar on K-pop productions with ASTRO (for the boy band's Stargazer Astroscope film in 2022) and MAMAMOO (for the girl group’s MY CON THE MOVIE out next month that also looks at their first-ever world tour).

Beyond his "First Parade" world tour, Kang Daniel recently released a new album, REALIEZ, in late June that included both his English track "Wasteland" and cinematic single "SOS." The ambitious EP saw Daniel flex his songwriting skills alongside Chancellor, his longtime collaborator and label mate under his KONNECT Entertainment agency. The EP sold over 150,000 physical copies globally in its first 10 days of release.
