According to the Associated Press tracker, 2,668 delegates have pledged support for Harris’ candidacy.
The count is well above the 1,976 mark needed to secure the nomination in the first round of voting.
Among the states where delegates have pledged support to Harris, only 54—including 10 from Minnesota— remain undecided, the tracker shows.
The delegates’ pledges are not binding until they vote at the Democratic National Convention next month.
In a statement on X, Harris acknowledged delegates' support, saying she is “proud to have earned the support needed to become our party’s nominee.”

“I am grateful to President Biden and everyone in the Democratic Party who has already put their faith in me, and I look forward to taking our case directly to the American people,” Harris’s statement added.
