TMZ is reporting that actor Johnny Wactor, who appeared in the ABC daytime drama General Hospital as Brando Corbin from 2020-22, was shot and killed in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday after spotting three men trying to steal his car’s catalytic converter.
Wactor, who was with a colleague, did not put up a fight but was shot before the men took off, according to his mother. Paramedics rushed to the scene and he was pronounced dead at the hospital. Wactor was 37.
Born August 31, 1986, in Charleston, South Carolina, Johnny Wactor debuted on the small screen as different characters in three episodes of the Lifetime drama Army Wives from 2007 to 2009. In 2013, he was cast in the NBC summer supernatural drama Siberia, which was shot in the style of a reality television show where 16 contestants competed to survive in a Siberian territory.

Wactor’s other acting credits included episodes of Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Girl, Criminal Minds, NCIS, Westworld and Station 19.
He is survived by his mother and his younger brothers, Lance and Grant.
