


President Joe Biden on Sunday endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris, to replace him as the Democratic nominee for president after he announced he would drop out of the race following intense pressure from fellow Democrats.

Biden on Sunday said he would “stand down” from the election in order to “focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.”
Shortly after, he called choosing Harris to be his vice president in 2020 the "best decision I’ve made" and said he offers his "full support" to her as the Democratic candidate for president.
"Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump," Biden said. "Let’s do this."
