Local authorities arrested Jackson Mahomes, an influencer best known as the younger brother of reigning NFL and Super Bowl most valuable player Patrick Mahomes, on a felony sexual battery charge early Wednesday morning.

Police booked Jackson Mahomes at 7:42 a.m. local time, according to Johnson County, Kansas arrest records.
Mahomes faces a severity level 5 person felony count, a charge carrying between 50 and 55 months of jail time if found guilty.
The arrest stems from a February incident caught on camera in which Mahomes grabbed and kissed a local bar owner without her consent, according to the Kansas City Star.
Authorities set Mahomes’ bail at $100,000.
Mahomes could not immediately be reached for comment, but his lawyer Brandon Davies told CBS affiliate KCTV5 the video clip “does not provide proper context” and Mahomes is cooperating with the investigation.

Mahomes has more than one million followers on TikTok and over 250,000 followers on Instagram, with his videos dancing at his older brother’s games often going viral. Patrick Mahomes was the fourth-highest paid player in the NFL last season, raking in $51.5 million on and off the gridiron.
