Bryan, who is currently the biggest musician in the U.S., according to Billboard, bonded out of Craig County Jail, where he was being held, about one and a half hours after he was booked, KJRH reported.
In a video posted to social media, Bryan said that he and his security guard were driving through Vinita, Oklahoma on their way to Boston in separate cars when the security guard was pulled over by police.
Bryan said he also pulled over to wait for the security guard until he got impatient and got out of the vehicle before being told by the officer he needed to get back into his car or he would be taken to jail.
He said he then got “too lippy with him” and was “mouthing off” before being taken to jail.
He apologized and said “my actions didn’t reflect who I was as a person.”
Oklahoma law says obstruction of investigation is when a person “willfully delays or obstructs any public officer in the discharge or attempt to discharge any duty of his or her office.”
This is a developing story and will be updated.
