The House Judiciary and Oversight committees announced plans for a markup meeting at 10 a.m. next Wednesday on a report recommending Hunter Biden—President Joe Biden’s son—be held in contempt of Congress for violating federal law when he refused to appear for a deposition the committees had requested in subpoenas last month.
The GOP-led committees are expected to prepare a resolution to hold the younger Biden in contempt, a vote that would ultimately be decided by the full House.
