A hot mic after an interview on Monday appeared to catch Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, saying he’d “kill” former Fox News host Tucker Carlson if the two ever met, prompting outrage from several right-wing commentators and an offer from the Fox News host to send his address for a face-to-face interview.

After being interviewed by British news outlet GB News, the GOP congressman was asked if he had ever met Carlson, to which he appeared to respond: “We’ve talked a lot on Twitter…If I ever meet him, I’ll fucking kill him.”

Crenshaw then apparently called Carlson “the worst person,” as he and the interviewer walked away from the camera.

The remarks were made when both Crenshaw and the interviewer were being unmiked although the camera was still rolling.

The video of the interaction was deleted by GB News, but not before it was clipped and shared by several right-wing commentators on X.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., tweeted at Crenshaw asking if he threatened to “kill friend Tucker Carlson,” to which the Texas lawmaker responded by saying, “Lol, no.”

Steven Edginton, the GB News journalist who interviewed Crenshaw, also shared the now-deleted clip from his outlet, saying he has kept “receipts” of the remark and claimed Crenshaw “told me when I laughed it wasn't a joke.”

Billionaire Elon Musk chimed in on the controversy on X, asking why Crenshaw was “homicidal regarding Tucker?” The former Fox News host then responded to Musk’s post by tagging Crenshaw and wrote: “Why don’t you come sit for an interview and we’ll see how you do? I’ll send you my address.”
