Goat Simulator 3 is headed to Game Pass in December
Microsoft just unveiled the December lineup of games headed to Xbox Game Pass in December and I must say, it’s quite impressive. For one thing, it’s just a great spread with lots of variety. There’s a terrific mix of AAA games, indie titles, strategy offerings and more action-oriented shooters.
The big draws this coming month are Remnant II, the sequel to the wildly popular co-op shooter Remnant: From The Ashes, and Far Cry 6, Ubisoft’s latest in their wacky first-person shooter franchise (that badly needs some kind of reboot to find its mojo again). Rise Of The Tomb Raider rounds out the AAA offerings. It’s always fun to adventure with Lara Croft.
Oh, and let’s not forget the upcoming release of Goat Simulator 3! The last game captured the hearts and minds of children everywhere—and of all ages—with its wacky, ridiculous, over-the-top sandbox gameplay and sticky tongues. The third game looks even more ridiculous, and it’s included in December’s Game Pass lineup.
There are some other really cool-sounding titles as well. Strategy games like SteamWorld Build let you craft detailed steampunk cities. Against the Storm is a dark fantasy strategy game where you’re tasked with rebuilding civilization in a world that faces apocalyptic rain. Tin Hearts is basically Lemmings but with tin soldiers and an isometric 3D view rather than 2D. While The Iron Is Hot is a 2D pixel-art adventure where you play as a smith’s apprentice. And there’s more!
Let’s take a look at the whole list.

Xbox Gold has been replaced by Game Pass Core which is a bit different. It gives you access to online multiplayer but doesn’t include monthly games (which weren’t that great to begin with, kind of like PlayStation Plus Essential these days). Instead of releasing monthly games, Microsoft is adding new games to the Core list every few months. That includes December. The new Core games are:
All told, a pretty great month for Game Pass subscribers. What are you looking forward to? Let me know on Twitter or Facebook.
