While Marvel is taking their sweet time announcing their Fantastic Four cast for the movie, which right now, is supposed to come out in February of 2025, insiders believe they have figured out who the final cast will be. And it’s a whole lot of talent.

This latest leak comes from well-known MCU Insider MyTimetoShineHello, which is similar to past reports for at least three of the four roles. We have:

I’d heard the first three before, but Daveed Diggs is new to me. The Hamilton actor has been busy the past few years, including a lot of voicework roles, most recently in The Little Mermaid as Sebastian. Given that Grimm’s Thing would be a lot of voicework and probably motion capture (which may not necessarily always be Diggs), his casting would make some amount of sense given his history doing VO.

Adam Driver and Margot Robbie are about as A-list as you get right now. This would be a big jump from DC where Robbie has played Harley Quinn for three movies, now playing an essential Marvel hero instead. Reed Richards has probably been the most debated role of all these among fans, and again, we’d have an interesting switch from Driver moving from Disney’s Star Wars as Kylo Ren to Disney’s Marvel as Mr. Fantastic.

29th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards - Show

Paul Mescal is probably the name you don’t know on this list, but you’re about to. He did a fantastic job in the series Normal People with Daisy Edgar-Jones, which is where I first saw him. But he’s about to be dramatically elevated with his alleged casting in Ridley Scott’s Gladiator 2 as the nephew of Commodus, now grown. And if he does in fact land Johnny Storm as well, he’ll be a household name soon enough.

Again, this is all insider reports and none of this is confirmed, certainly not by Marvel. But it’s a very believable cast and loads of different insiders have all claimed a similar line-up. Naturally, it will not be what every fan wants to see (John Krasinski should return as Reed! Johnny should be the kid from Outer Banks!) but that’s always going to be the case with casting cases like this.

So uh, who is Doctor Doom, then?
