Vice President Kamala Harris lauded President Joe Biden in a White House speech Monday, her first public appearance since the president dropped his re-election bid and endorsed Harris in an unprecedented turn of events.

Biden’s “legacy of accomplishment over the past three years is unmatched in modern history,” Harris said from the White House South Lawn, while hosting college athletes for NCAA Sports Day.

Harris said Biden is “feeling much better and recovering fast” from his COVID-19 diagnosis last week and “looks forward to getting back on the road.”
