


George Tyndall, a former gynecologist at the University of Southern California who was accused of 27 sex-related criminal charges, was found dead at his home Thursday, according to the Los Angeles Times, months after he pleaded not guilty to the counts and was set to appear at a criminal trial next year.

A close friend reached out to Tyndall Wednesday but never received a response, provoking the friend to visit his home where she found him unresponsive in bed, according to the Times.
Tyndall’s attorney Leonard Levine will present a death certificate at the next hearing in the pending case against Tyndall, which was scheduled to take place next year.
