Fox News has announced that it has parted ways with Tucker Carlson, the network’s highest-rated prime time host. “Fox News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways,” the network said in a statement. “We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.

The announcement comes days after Fox announced that one of its weekend hosts, Dan Bongino, had left the network after failing to reach agreement on a new contract. At the time, many of Bongino’s supporters speculated that the end of his Saturday night show may have been tied to Fox’s settlement with Dominion.

Mr. Carlson’s last program was Friday April 21^st. Fox News Tonight will air live at 8 PM/ET starting this evening as an interim show helmed by rotating FOX News personalities until a new host is named.”
