Fleetwood Mac released their album Rumours nearly 50 years ago, but it has barely diminished in popularity in the decades since it first took over the world. Now, the band is back on the Billboard charts with a new version of the classic, and it has helped them reach heights they haven’t seen in quite some time.

Rumours: Live debuts on several Billboard charts this week as fans of the band flocked to stream, and, more importantly, buy the set. Fleetwood Mac’s latest offering opens at No. 4 on the current edition of the Top Album Sales chart, Billboard’s ranking of the titles that actually sold the most copies across the U.S. in the prior tracking frame. That makes the Top Album Sales list different from most other album-focused rankings published by the company, as it doesn’t take into account streaming activity.

Fleetwood Mac earns their first new top 10 title on the Top Album Sales chart in 20 years with Rumours: Live. The set begins inside the highest tier on the tally thanks to a little under 10,300 copies sold, according to data shared by Luminate. It ranks behind only Olivia Rodrigo’s Guts (No. 1), BTS member V’s Layover (No. 2) and Tyler Childers’s Rustin in the Rain (No. 3). The new win also marks the band’s fourth time reaching the top 10 on the chart.

The last time Fleetwood Mac scored a top 10 debut on the Top Album Sales chart was back in 2003. That year, the band’s Say You Will reached No. 3 on the ranking. Since then, the original Rumours has spent quite a bit of time inside the loftiest tier on the chart, even reaching a new peak position of No. 2 earlier this year.

At the same time that Rumours: Live appears inside the top 10 on the Top Album Sales chart, it also debuts on several other Billboard rankings, though it doesn’t perform quite as well. The set launches at No. 14 on the Top Rock Albums ranking, and it also opens at No. 81 on the all-genre Billboard 200.
