FC Barcelona are ready to make a fresh offer to sign Morocco Qatar 2022 and Fiorentina star Sofyan Amrabat, according to an exclusive from transfer market experts Futbol Total.

The Catalans are currently basking in the glory of being crowned La Liga champions for the first time in four years, but badly need a new defensive midfielder after captain Sergio Busquets announced he will move on when his contract expires on June 30.

Barca tried to land Amrabat once already in the January transfer market after the midfield hardman rose to global prominence with his exploits for his parents' homeland that inspired an unlikely run to the World Cup last four.

At the time, however, they faced severe restrictions thanks to Financial Fair Play limits, and the potential signing was put off until the summer.

With their economic viability plan now greenlit by La Liga, and Lionel Messi having decided to join Inter Miami, Barca can be more flexible in their quest to sign new players and register their contracts, as well as those of existing stars.

To this end, Barca are reportedly ready to launch a fresh assault on Fiorentina for Amrabat.

SPORT reported last month that the Blaugrana are only willing to go up to €25 million ($27.5 million) for the Dutch-born player.

In this new package, though, they will offer €15 million plus €4 million in variables and outcast defender Eric Garcia.

Garcia is currently rated at €12 million ($13 million) by Transfermarkt, and this could bring the total operation to around €31 million ($33.4 million) if all the incentives are met.

At 26, Amrabat still has his best years ahead of him and would likely sign on a five-term contract.

In Xavi Hernandez's four-man midfield, the Utrecht academy product should form a double pivot with Frenkie de Jong, or support his fellow Dutch-born while Pedri and Gavi operate in more advanced, attacking positions.

Even if he lands Amrabat, Xavi still wants another midfielder which could be Manchester City skipper Ilkay Gundogan considering reports from Mundo Deportivo and SPORT that the German has agreed to join Barca for three seasons.
