FC Barcelona are already aware of how much it will cost to by Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo permanently at the end of the season according to Mundo Deportivo.

The two Portuguese namesakes represented by Jorge Mendes joined the Catalans approaching midnight on deadline day in the summer transfer window at the start of the month.

Arriving on loan from Atletico Madrid (Felix) and Manchester City (Cancelo), the compatriots have made a positive impact beyond the wildest dreams of head coach Xavi Hernandez and Culers.

While Felix has scored three times and provided an assist as part of a previously missing link to striker Robert Lewandowski, Cancelo is finally the natural right back Xavi long craved with his ability to cut inside meaning it appears as though Barca sometimes have four or five midfielders on the pitch depending on how many have been selected.

It is natural that Barca will want to make their loan moves permanent come June 30, 2024, and both men now at their "dream" clubs have communicated an desire for this too.

“Well, for me it depends on how the season ends," Felix told Mundo Deportivo in an interview published on Thursday.

"Afterwards, Barcelona is the one who has to negotiate with Atleti and that depends after Atleti, if they want to make things easier or not. But those are business things, values, which I don’t get involved in. I do my job on the field, I try to do my best so that they want to sign me in the end and that thing about values, whether I go or not go or for how much, doesn’t interest me," he added.

According to the same paper, Barca already know how much it will take for this to become a reality.

In Felix's case, Atleti want to receive at least €80 million ($85 million) for the forward they paid Benfica €127 million ($135 million) to buy in 2019.

As for Cancelo, he will be far cheaper because of his age, 29, and the fact that he does not feature in the plans of City manager Pep Guardiola.

To put him in Barca's colors on a full-time basis, Barca will need to part with just €25 million ($26.6 million).

Given the club's delicate economic outlook, and difficulties navigating Financial Fair Play limits, president Joan Laporta and his board will probably go for Cancelo first and then think about how they can pull off a Felix coup.

It will most likely have to be done through a player sale, with likely candidates to be offloaded including Ansu Fati, Ferran Torres and Raphinha.
