FC Barcelona are ready to accept an offer from Wolverhampton Wanderers for Ansu Fati.
FC Barcelona are ready to accept Wolverhampton Wanderers' offer of €30 million ($33 million) plus Rúben Neves for Ansu Fati according to SPORT.
Earlier this week, the Catalan daily newspaper and Relevo reported that the offer had come in from the Premier
Before that, SPORT also reported that Fati's agent Jorge Mendes had guaranteed the Blaugrana that a €70 million ($77 million) proposal would be received from the English top flight for the number '10'.
The club calculates that this offer also represents that amount, with €30 million in cash and Neves valued at €40 million ($44 million).
With Fati tied down in a contract with a €1 billion ($1.1 billion) release clause until 2027, however, after renewing terms in 2021, the youngster is under no obligation to switch allegiances.
His word will ultimately be the last, yet his representative Mendes and Bori Fati might push the 20-year-old to opt for a change of scenery given his current lack of minutes and protaganism in the first team under head coach Xavi Hernandez.
Though Bori Fati gave an explosive interview to Spanish radio last month where he revealed he had encouraged Ansu to move on while also not ruling out a transfer to Barca's bitter rivals Real Madrid, he told SPORT this week that his son is staying put.
With Fati a La Masia product, though, selling him in as attractive prospect for Barca as it would represent pure profit.
As for Neves, he was tipped as a potential replacement for aging captain Sergio Busquets alongside Real Sociedad star Martin Zubimendi until his rumored €80 million ($88 million) price tag proved an obstacle.
By selling Fati, Barca would get a pivot midfielder and also might be able to put the remaining €30 million towards signing someone like 18-year-old Athletico Paranaense sensation Vitor Roque.
If the report from SPORT is accurate, however, it is one of the first indications that Barca really are prepared to offload Fati despite president Joan Laporta and Xavi's statements in public tipping him as an important part of planning for the future.
