


Users of Meta’s Facebook and Instagram are experiencing what appear to be widespread outages Tuesday morning, with thousands of people reporting issues accessing the social media platforms.
The outage appeared to begin around 10 a.m. ET.
The outage began around 10 a.m. ET, according to crowdsourced data collected by Downdetector—with hundreds of thousands of users reporting issues with Facebook and tens of thousands with Instagram.
Facebook Messenger also received thousands of reports—peaking at 10:22 am ET with 8,833—according to Downdetector.
Meta spokesperson Andy Stone tweeted the company is “aware people are having trouble accessing our services,” adding: “We are working on this now.”
Meta, Facebook and Instagram did not immediately respond to Forbes’ requests for comment.
