Musk’s estimated net worth was up by $815 million Wednesday morning, while Bezos’ net worth fell by about $558 million, according to Forbes’ Real-Time Billionaires tracker.

Forbes estimates Musk to be worth about $193.6 billion as of 1 p.m. EDT Wednesday, and we estimate Bezos to be worth about $193.6 billion.

Bernard Arnault, CEO of the LVMH empire, remains the wealthiest person in the world per Forbes’ list, with a net worth of about $231.1 billion as of Wednesday.

1.3%. That’s how much Tesla’s stock was up Wednesday afternoon. In comparison, Amazon’s stock price had fallen 0.6% to about $175 per share.

Musk’s wealth resurgence marks the latest in a month-long jostle between the Tesla CEO and Bezos. Since the beginning of March, the pair has flip-flopped in the wealth rankings. The most recent movement came Tuesday when Bezos briefly took the top U.S. spot. When Musk lost the no. 2 spot on March 6, it was the first time he wasn’t in the top two of Forbes’ real-time billionaire rankings since Aug. 19, 2021.
