Dean Phillips, D-Minn., announced Wednesday he is suspending his presidential campaign following a poor performance—including in his home state—in Super Tuesday primaries, ending a long-shot campaign by the Minnesota liquor titan worth $50 million that focused partly on President Joe Biden’s age.

In a statement posted to X, Phillips thanked his supporters and said he will continue work to “ensure a more responsive, democratic, and generationally diverse political system.”
Phillips went on to endorse Biden, saying “But today, in light of the stark reality we face, I ask you join me in mobilizing, energizing, and doing everything you can to help keep a man of decency and integrity in the White House.”
