


A man was arrested Tuesday morning after breaking into the Colorado Supreme Court and opening fire, state police said in a statement on Tuesday, just two weeks after the court’s momentous decision to disqualify former President Donald Trump from the state’s ballot, a controversial ruling likely headed to the U.S. Supreme Court.

There were no injuries or fatalities in the shooting, the Colorado State Patrol said, after a gunman entered the state’s Supreme Court building at around 1:15 a.m. and opened fire, causing “significant and extensive damage.”
The suspect, whose name was not immediately released, surrendered to police, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
