Call Of Duty
A ton of new content is headed to Modern Warfare III and a completely overhauled Warzone next week. Three new 6v6 maps, the return of Gunfight and a major expansion to the game’s arsenal are all headed to MWIII. Meanwhile, Warzone is getting a brand new big map, many of the original Warzone gameplay mechanics are returning, and the game is adopting the faster, more fluid movement of MWIII.
There’s also a new holiday event, a brand new Battle Pass (including a BlackCell version) and Operator skin crossovers with The Boys and Dune Part II.
Here’s everything you need to know about Season 1 and the relaunch of Warzone.
Season 1 of Modern Warfare III and Warzone kicks off on Wednesday, December 6th at 9am PT on Xbox, PlayStation and PC.
New Maps
New Modes
Killstreaks and Equipment
New Guns (Launch — Battle Pass)
New Guns (In-Season)
New Aftermarket parts include an underbarrel flamethrower, a double-barrel for the AMR9 SMG, an LMG converter kit for the Sidewinder Battle Rifle, an attachment that decreases recoil but makes your guns super loud and more visible on the mini-map, a new glassless optic, a 4-round burst for the Holger 556, a conversion kit for the Tyr revolver that turns it into a rifle, and a burst conversion kit for the Rival-9 SMG.
Battle Pass
Another needlessly complex Battle Pass (and its premium BlackCell variant) arrives in Season 1, with two new Operators—Nolan and Dokkaebi as well as the Abolisher Operator for the BlackCell—and a bunch of other goodies to unlock.
Crossovers include Dune Part 2—Paul Atreides and Feyd-Rautha Operators—and more The Boys content as well as other bundles including the new Santa Gnaws Christmas bundle.
New Zombies Content
And much more!
Warzone
There’s obviously a ton of stuff coming to Warzone in Season 1 so I’ll just go over some highlights:
CODMAS
We have basically zero info about CODMAS other than this grim Saint Nick is called Santa Gnaws, so we’re getting a zombie Christmas this year it seems. There will be new challenges and rewards, holiday-themed map changes and more. “Just try not to get bitten,” Activision tells us. In Warzone Zombie Santa will take over the train, a Deer Hunt event goes live and there will be both Christmas Trees and Snowball Fights. Very festive, indeed!
And that’s all folks!
