The Orange County district attorney’s office identified the shooter as Snowling, with a spokesperson telling the LA Times he worked for the police department from 1986 to 2014 and was a sergeant when he retired.

The shooting occurred late Wednesday night at a biker bar called Cook’s Corner in the rural community of Trabuco Canyon in Orange County.

According to multiple media reports, authorities think Snowling was targeting his ex-wife in the attack at the biker bar; CBS News reported she was one of the victims shot and hospitalized.
