A building in New Haven, Connecticut, that was under construction partially collapsed Friday, leaving at least six injured with two in critical condition, according to multiple reports, which comes less than a week after a similar disaster in Iowa where authorities are still searching for survivors.
The building was on Lafayette Street, a few blocks away from Yale University, NBC Connecticut and the Associated Press reported Friday.
Five people were trapped and four have been brought out, NBC Connecticut reported around 1 p.m. Friday, while fire officials were heard saying all construction workers at the site were accounted for, AP reported.
The cause of the collapse was not immediately clear.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
