Johnson, who has served as a British MP since he stepped down as Prime Minister last summer, allegedly misled members of Parliament about violating the country’s Covid-era restrictions by throwing parties at 10 Downing Street—he previously admitted to misleading Parliament, but said he didn’t do it intentionally.
Johnson denied the allegations in a statement, saying Britain’s Commons Privileges Committee, which conducted the report, has “not produced a shred of evidence” that he knowingly misled Parliament, and labeling the committee a “kangaroo court.”
