President Joe Biden offered to debate former President Donald Trump “twice” in a video Wednesday, setting the stage for the first showdown between the two frontrunners after Trump has repeatedly prodded Biden to agree to debates.

Biden, firing back at Trump’s tough talk, told his competitor “make my day, pal, I’ll even do it twice,” adding the jab “I hear he’s free on Wednesdays” (the only day of the week Trump’s hush money trial isn’t in session).

Biden said for the first time last month in an interview with radio host Howard Stern he would debate Trump, after the former president, for months, taunted Biden about setting dates for a face-off.

Trump responded to Biden’s offer by saying he would debate him “ANYWHERE, ANYTIME, ANYPLACE,” while noting the expression “is used by Fighters.”

This is a developing story and will be updated.
