


The latest addition to beyerdynamic’s PRO series of studio headphones has just been unveiled. Offering authentic studio sound at a budget price, the new beyerdynamic DT 270 PRO have the same comfortable velour ear pads as the brand’s flagship models but sell for a very competitive price.
The new closed-back design of over-the-ear headphones is suitable for music production, podcast recording or practising an instrument, such as an electric guitar or keyboards. The DT 270 PRO have a compact format and come with a competitive price tag that will appeal to ambitious beginners as well as more experienced music producers.
The DT 270 PRO headphones provide an entry into the world of professional studio headphones. Despite being priced under £100, these new headphones have the typical characteristics of beyerdynamic’s popular PRO series such as authentic studio sound, comfortable fit and a bunch of accessories not usually seen at this price point.
These new headphones use the same replaceable velour ear pads used across the entire beyerdynamic PRO range. Compared with other models in the range, the DT 270 PRO are more compact and have an adaptable design that’s particularly suited to a range of production conditions.
The DT 270 PRO have a cable that can connect to either ear cup and they also ship with a USB-C-to-3.5mm adapter, making them compatible for use with smartphones and tablets. Weighing just 194g, the DT 270 PRO are light and portable and they include a fabric carry bag with draw string.
Whether they are used for music production, podcast recording or instrument practice, the DT 270 PRO produce a balanced, detailed and studio-level sound. With a nominal impedance of 45Ω, they offer the latest acoustic standards and the overall design has been influenced by feedback from beyerdynamic’s customer base. The company says the headphones’ sound signature has a “clear but unobtrusive bass with natural mids and pleasantly smooth highs.”
The DT 270 PRO headphones are built to last and include sprung steel inside the padded headband to provide a secure and comfortable fit. The overall design is flexible as well as lightweight but has the kind of comfort levels necessary for long and focused mixing sessions. The robust housing has been designed to withstand frequent and intensive use in the studio.

Beyerdynamic’s DT 270 PRO closed-back headphones will be available from October 14, 2025, priced at £89 / €99 from www.beyerdynamic.com, Amazon and other specialist retailers. Spare parts and replacement ear pads can be reordered separately. The DT 270 PRO won’t launch in North America immediately, but they should be available soon with price to be advised.
