Beetlejuice Beetlejuice—Tim Burton’s blockbuster starring Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Jenna Ortega and Catherine O’Hara—is coming soon to streaming video on demand on Max.
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice was released in theaters on September 6. The long-awaited sequel to the 1988 supernatural comedy classic Beetlejuice immediately became a box office smash and pivoted to digital streaming via premium video on demand on October 8.
The logline for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice reads, “After a family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice (Keaton), Lydia's (Ryder) life is turned upside down when her teenage daughter, Astrid (Ortega), accidentally opens the portal to the Afterlife.”
According to When to Stream, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice will begin streaming on Max on Friday, December 6.

According to The Numbers, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice has earned $293.8 million domestically and nearly $156.9 million internationally for a worldwide tally of $450.7 million to date.
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice was also a big winner with Rotten Tomatoes critics, who collectively gave the film a 77% “fresh” rating based on 354 reviews. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice also earned a 79% “fresh” Audience Score based on 10,000-plus verified ratings.
Catherine O’Hara reprises her role of Delia Deetz in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, while Justin Theroux joins the cast as Lydia’s boyfriend and TV show producer Rory.
Monica Bellucci also stars as Beetlejuice’s vengeful ex-wife, Delores, while Willem Dafoe plays Wolf, a deceased actor who plays a detective role in the Afterlife.
The film also features a surprise cameo from frequent Tim Burton and Michael Keaton collaborator Danny DeVito, who appears in a role simply referred to as “Janitor” opposite Monica Bellucci’s Delores.
Keaton said in a Zoom conversation that Burton kept DeVito's cameo a secret from him.
“Tim didn't tell me that and I was watching an early cut of it and I see and go, ‘Wait a minute!’ You can't recognize him right away, and then you can barely recognize him and then from another other angle, I realized it was him,” Keaton said.
Naturally, Keaton was thrilled to see his good friend pop up in the film.
“He's a really, really nice man, Danny,” Keaton said. “I really like him a lot—really sweet dude.”
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is written by Buron’s Wednesday collaborators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar and features a score by his longtime composer Danny Elfman.
