Barbie earned $93 million domestically from Friday to Sunday, bringing its North American earnings up to $351 million and its worldwide earnings up to $750 million after just over a week in theaters, according to Variety.

If Barbie continues on this trajectory, it will only be the second film to cross the $1 billion mark so far this year, after The Super Mario Bros. Movie had great success earlier this year and earned $1.34 billion worldwide.

Meanwhile, Oppenheimer brought in more than $46 million this weekend for a domestic box office total of $174 million for the two weeks it's been in theaters, and $400 million for a global box office total, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Currently, Barbie only stands behind The Super Mario Bros. Movie ($574 million), Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse ($377 million) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 ($358 million) for highest earning films of the year domestically, according to Box Office Mojo.

Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer had the biggest second weekend ever for an R-rated movie, ahead of Deadpool 2, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The highly anticipated Barbie film earned $162 million in its opening weekend in theaters, surpassing expectations for the Mattel doll’s bright neon big screen debut. The Greta Gerwig directed-movie premiered last weekend after months of hype and social media chatter surrounding the film’s feminist themes and all-star cast. Barbie stars Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Issa Rae, Rhea Perlman, Simu Liu and Will Ferrell. Barbie has an 89% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, and a 86% score from audiences. Oppenheimer, the atomic bomb period piece starring Cillian Murphy, Florence Pugh, Emily Blunt and Robert Downey Jr., has a 94% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, and a 92% score from audiences.
