MWII-S06-ANNOUNCEMENT-006

Call Of Duty

Credit: Activision

A brand new season of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Warzone is upon us. Season 6 is the final season before the launch of Modern Warfare III, and Activision is doubling down on the spooky Halloween theme with a midseason update coming in a few weeks that will kick off The Haunting event.

Meanwhile, Spawn is the new Battle Pass Operator and will be joined later by Skeletor, two Diablo IV characters, Ash from The Evil Dead and more horror-themed content.

But along with new maps, the most important thing any Call Of Duty player needs to know with the launch of a new season is what new weapons have been introduced and what big changes have been made to their favorite guns. The meta, as it’s called, will change significantly with this update.

Some of the big changes are buffs to the Minibak—the game’s most piddly SMG—in both Multiplayer and Battle Royale as well as a serious nerf to the Kastov 762, which has been dominating Warzone lately. The ISO Hemlock and Cronen Squall see even more nerfs after being hit with downgrades pretty much every season, while numerous guns across all categories have been buffed. The 9mm Daemon handgun and the burst-fire Lachmann Shroud both take hits with this update, likely to pave way for the new guns being introduced.

One surprising change is a buff to the auto-shotgun the MX Guardian, which is seeing some major increases to damage in Warzone. Another shotgun, the Lockwood double-barrel, has received a new attachment. Read on to learn everything you need to know about the Season 6 patch notes for Modern Warfare II and Warzone.

Those are all the weapon changes in Season 6. Many other bugs and problems have been ironed out as well, though I suspect a number of new issues will arise as is always the case with a major update. Here are all the other fixes in the Season 6 patch notes:
