The full schedule for the upcoming NFL season won't be released until Wednesday night, but broadcasters are already starting to tease some of the most anticipated games, including the return of quarterback Aaron Rodgers after a game-one injury last year that hindered the New York Jets all season long.

Five NFL matchups in weeks one and two were announced as of 11 a.m. Tuesday, including the primetime return of Rodgers on ESPN in the first Monday Night Football game of the season—the Jets will play the 49ers in San Francisco on Sept. 9 at 8:20 p.m. ET.

A rematch of the AFC championship game between the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs, the reigning Super Bowl champs, will serve as the season opener at 8 p.m. ET Thursday, Sept 5 on NBC.

Michael Strahan on Monday announced the Dallas Cowboys will face the Cleveland Browns at 4:25 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 8—a game that will also serve as legendary quarterback Tom Brady's debut as a color commentator on Fox.

Week One will also take the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles to Brazil for the NFL's first-ever regular season game in South America on Friday, Sept. 6—kick-off time has not been announced but the game will stream exclusively on Peacock, NBC’s streaming service.

The only Week 2 game to have been announced so far is the second for the Chiefs, who will play the Cincinnati Bengals at home at 4:25 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15 on CBS.

The full schedule for the 2024-25 NFL season will be released at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday, May 15. The schedule release will be broadcast live on ESPN2, the NFL Network and NFL.com.

What the other international matchups will be. Other than the game in Brazil, four games will take place in Europe this year—three in London and one in Germany. The Vikings and Bears will each play at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and the Jaguars will play at Wembley Stadium in London, but their game dates and opponents haven't been announced. The same is true for the Panthers game at Allianz Arena in Munich.

Which teams will play which teams in the NFL season is based on division and conference inclusion, as well as each team’s division finish from the previous year. Fans already know what matchups to expect when the NFL schedule is released, but when and where those games will take place is a mystery until the announcement. It's possible other games will be announced before the official release on Wednesday. Last year, the Black Friday and Christmas Day matchups were revealed before the full schedule was put out. Single-game tickets for NFL games will be available as soon as the games are announced.

$377. That was the average price of a regular season NFL ticket in 2023, according to TicketSmart, a major jump from the average price of $235 in the 2022 season. Several teams have already announced their ticket prices will go up for the 2024 season, including the Panthers, Bills and Packers.
