An earthquake rocked the entire island <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/category/world/world-regions/asia" target="_blank" rel="noopener">of Taiwan</a> early Wednesday, collapsing buildings in a southern city and sparking a tsunami warning for southern Japanese islands.

Video and images on social media showed buildings shaken off their foundations.

The U.S. Geological Survey put the quake at a 7.5 while Taiwan’s earthquake monitoring agency gave the magnitude as 7.2.
