The Russians are deploying additional artillery units and replenishing ammunition supplies on the Kharkiv front. Meanwhile, Ukrainian soldiers took down 100 Russian occupiers and destroyed 60 pieces of enemy military equipment in Kharkiv Oblast over the past day, according to the “Kharkiv” operational-tactical group.

On 10 May, Russia launched an offensive in Kharkiv Oblast, opening a new front in Ukraine, but the assault quickly stalled. In August, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukrainian soldiers were “gradually” pushing Russian troops out of the region.

“The operational situation on the Kharkiv front has not significantly changed and remains complicated. Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue to resist the pressure of Russian occupation troops. The enemy is trying to compensate for artillery losses by transferring additional artillery units to operational command,” the statement said.

Over the past day, four combat engagements occurred near Starytsia, Hlyboke, Lyptsi, and Vovchansk. Russian occupiers launched seven airstrikes with ten guided bombs, launched 72 kamikaze drones, and shelled Ukrainian defenders’ positions 379 times.

At the same time, Ukraine’s Defense Forces eliminated 99 occupiers and destroyed 60 units of weapons and military equipment and three ammunition depots.

Earlier, the commander of the “Stugna” unit of the HUR special forces, known as Linux, revealed that Kyrylo Budanov, Ukraine’s head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Defense Ministry, personally led the mission to liberate the Vovchansk Aggregate Plant in Kharkiv Oblast.

On 24 September, HUR special units fully liberated the territory of the plant, eliminating dozens of elite Russian fighters and capturing occupiers. The facility is now under the control of Ukraine’s Armed Forces. Preparation for the mission took several weeks.
