Russian military used 234 FPV drones within the frontline Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson oblasts on 23 March, increasing their number by almost 40% compared to the previous day, Southern Command reported on 24 March.

The Russian army also employed 13 strike drones of the “Lancet” type and dropped 269 fragmentation munitions from various modifications of drones.

“There is a steady tendency for at least a 15% daily increase. But Ukraine’s electronic warfare is working quite successfully against them,” Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine said.

Russian military launched another massive attack on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure overnight into 24 March. Ukraine’s Air Defense Forces shot down 18 missiles and 25 Shahed drones overnight.

Russian missiles hit state oil and gas company Naftogaz pipes in Stryi district, Lviv Oblast, which borders Poland, causing a fire. Russian troops also hit critical and civilian infrastructure in Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

One of the Russian missiles entered Polish airspace overnight. The Polish Operational Command reported it activated its fighter jet but didn’t shoot the Russian missile down as “it was not sure it was headed for a specific target [in Poland,” the Polish Defense Ministry said.
