The dry cargo ship Pallada, flying the Panamanian flag, experienced an accident in the port of Eregli in northern Türkiye. It arrived there from Odesa, where it departed on 3 November. Local media reported that the vessel, loaded with Ukrainian grain, split in half.

The ship drifted ashore, colliding with the port’s concrete walls and causing damage to the coastal amphitheater.

Emergency services, including the coastguard and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to rescue all 13 foreign nationals onboard the vessel. The entire crew was evacuated, and there was no reported injuries.

Due to the storm in Eregli, there is no electricity, fallen trees, and flooded streets.
