According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, Russia considers it impossible to continue “grain deal,” signed in the summer of 2022 to unblock the export of Ukrainian grain.

“Black Sea Grain Initiative, intended to help needy countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America, has turned into a purely commercial export of Ukrainian provisions to ‘satiated’ countries. On this background, the situation with the normalization of provision and fertilizer supplies from Russia continued to degrade,” says Russian MFA.

Russian MFA expressed dissatisfaction with the continuation of anti-Russian sanctions, complaining about the SWIFT shutdown and the sanctions on spare parts. ‘Under these circumstances, it is clear that there is no reason to continue the “Black Sea Grain Initiative,” which expires on 17 July,” Russian MFA declared.
