On 15 March, Russia carried out a double missile strike on southern Ukraine’s port city of Odesa, targeting the same area two times, which resulted in multiple injuries and the deaths of two first responders.

“There are victims of the Russian missile attack on Odesa. All relevant services are working at the scene. The data is being clarified,” Oleh Kiper reported around noon.

About 40 minutes later, Kiper reported casualties:

“Unfortunately, the Russian missile attack killed a paramedic and an employee of the State Emergency Service who came to the scene after the first explosion to provide assistance. There are also seriously injured among the medics and rescuers. The total number of injured is being clarified, and all are being provided with the necessary medical care,” he wrote on Telegram.

Additionally, there are at least 20 injured in the attack:

“According to preliminary information, 20 people were injured, including 5 employees of the State Emergency Service. All victims are being provided with the necessary assistance,” the Emergency Service reported.

The Emergency Service says the strike also damaged 10 one-family houses, a service station, a low-pressure gas pipeline, and two fire and rescue vehicles.

Update:

Eight people were killed in the missile attack on Odesa, including a rescue worker and a paramedic. More than 20 people were injured, the Prosecutor General’s Office said, according to Suspilne.
