The Russian military attacked Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast eight times a day, Governor Serhii Lysak said on 16 March.
Nikopol, a city of around 100,000 people, faces Russian-occupied Enerhodar and the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant across the Dnipro River. The city in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast suffers from constant shelling, which leads to numerous casualties among the civilians.
The Russian attack injured a 75-year-old man and a 77-year-old woman.
The Russian troops used kamikaze drones and artillery in their attacks on the city. The strike also damaged over three dozen private houses, two outbuildings, garages and cars, infrastructure facilities, and power lines.
