Russian artillery killed a 9-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl and injured a woman in Toretsk, Ukraine’s town in Donetsk Oblast, ten kilometers from the frontline, Donetsk Oblast Prosecutor’s Office and head of Donetsk Oblast Administration Pavlo Kyrylenko informed.

Two children died due to a direct hit of a projectile into a residential building on 21 July 2023. The body of a 9-year-old boy was found in the yard near the house – he died of his injuries on the spot, and a 16-year-old girl was still fighting for her life but died on the way to the hospital.

A 74-year-old local woman was also injured in the explosions. She was evacuated by a neighbor and taken to a medical facility in his vehicle.

Oblast head Pavlo Kyrylenko also called on parents to evacuate with children further from the frontline.
