Russian forces launched a double ballistic missile attack on Kryvyi Rih, a major industrial city in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, overnight. The assault left 17 people injured, according to regional governor Serhiy Lysak.

Russia continues daily air attacks on Ukrainian residential areas to terrorize civilians and damage infrastructure. Each night, dozens of Shahed drones and often missiles are launched. While Ukraine uses domestically-made drones on Russia, it lacks permission to strike with Western long-range missiles.

“Eight injured are hospitalized, all in stable condition,” he wrote on Telegram.

The State Emergency Service reported that a second strike hit as responders tackled the aftermath of the initial attack, wounding a rescue worker. The missiles damaged various structures, including a hotel, store, school, and seven residential high-rises. Up to 15 vehicles were also affected, among them emergency service vehicles.

Officials have not disclosed specific targets of the strikes in Kryvyi Rih.

Local authorities have set up centers for damage claims and are distributing construction materials, food, and hot tea to those affected.

In a separate incident, Russian artillery targeted the Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, damaging private homes, infrastructure, and power lines in Marhanets and Nikopol. No casualties were reported in these attacks.
