During air raid alerts across Ukraine on July 26, Ukraine’s air defense shot down two Kalibr missiles over Vinnytsia Oblast in Central Ukraine, Air Force of Ukraine’s Armed Forces reports.
At approximately 13 PM on 26 July, the Russians launched a Kalibr cruise missile attack from the Black Sea.
The Air Force of Ukraine alleges that the missiles were launched from a Russian submarine. The missiles entered the airspace from the southeast, changing course along the route.
Meanwhile, on 26 June, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine received the strengthened air defense.
“Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence and Foreign Intelligence reported on enemy activity and its immediate plans. We have reinforcements for our air defense system. It will be sent to where it is needed most,” Zelenskyy wrote.
