Russia launched a series of attacks on Ukraine overnight on 11 October, resulting in multiple casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure in Odesa.

In the Odesa Oblast, a ballistic missile strike killed four people, including a teenager, and injured ten others, Governor Oleh Kiper said.

The attack destroyed a two-story building. People were trapped under the rubble, Kiper said. Emergency services rescued four individuals, but three people died at the scene, including a 43-year-old woman, a 22-year-old man, and a 16-year-old girl. A fourth victim later died in hospital, according to the governor.

The attack injured ten other people, with nine currently hospitalized and four in critical condition.

In Kyiv, air raid sirens sounded as the capital faced its fifth aerial attack since the beginning of October. The Kyiv City Military Administration reported that air defense systems were active as Russian drones approached the city.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed later the sounds of explosions in the capital as air defenses operated.

As of 08:35 am, air raid alerts were still active in Kyiv Oblast, with the Air Force reporting the presence of drones in the airspace of Kyiv and several other Ukrainian oblasts.
