A Russian missile strike on the city of Odesa on March 25 has left ten people injured and caused extensive damage to approximately 300 apartments and the Sports Palace, according to Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Oblast Military Administration. The attack has also affected the city’s power supply and further strained the region’s resilience in the face of ongoing war.

Kiper reported that seven of the injured, including three women, are receiving treatment in medical facilities, while the others were given on-site assistance. The strikes not only damaged residential buildings but also destroyed several structures, adding to the city’s challenges as it continues to recover from repeated assaults.

The impact on Odesa’s power supply has left 23,000 subscribers without electricity, with stabilization schedules being applied to manage the situation. Additionally, bad weather conditions, characterized by strong winds, have temporarily disconnected electricity supply to 62 settlements, affecting 19,000 subscribers. Emergency crews are actively working to restore power.

The region has established 530 resilience centers to provide support to the affected population, with plans to deploy an additional 282 centers if necessary.

Russia attacked Odesa with missiles in the evening of 25 March 2024, Kiper reported.
