On 24 November, Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė travelled to Kyiv to meet the country’s leadership.

At the beginning of her visit, PM Šimonytė laid a wreath at the Wall of Remembrance of the Fallen for Ukraine, saying she pays respect to those who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s right to exist and to live in freedom.

“They gave their lives to also defend all of us,” she added.

“The only way to achieve lasting and just peace is by helping Ukraine win as soon as possible, regain its full territorial integrity, serve international justice, and rebuild stronger,” Ingrida Šimonytė wrote on X/Twitter.

Lithuania stands as one of Ukraine’s staunchest supporters within the European Union.

Earlier, Šimonytė noted on the 10th anniversary of the start of the Revolution of Dignity that the EU family is incomplete without Ukraine.

Recently, the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry announced that Ukraine received three million units of 7.62×51 mm ammunition, remote detonation systems, and winter equipment from Vilnius.

Lately, Lithuania reaffirmed its readiness to assist Ukraine’s energy sector in the face of the looming threat of Russian air attacks. Meanwhile, battle-damaged Ukrainian Leopard tanks undergo repairs in Lithuania.
