The German government reported on 26 February the dispatch of another batch of military aid to Ukraine, which included artillery shells, reconnaissance drones, and mine-clearing vehicles.

On 16 February 2024, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz signed a Ukraine-Germany long-term security agreement in Berlin. Additionally, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced a new military aid package for Ukraine worth €1.1 billion.

According to the list on the German government’s website, Ukraine recently received 14,000 155mm caliber ammunition from Bundeswehr reserves, as well as four WISENT 1 mine-clearing vehicles.

Furthermore, Germany transferred three mobile, remotely controlled, and protected mine-clearing systems, equipment for neutralizing explosive objects, and 250 sets of tools with explosive materials. The package also mentions 10 Vector reconnaissance drones with spare parts, 22 anti-drone sensor and jamming systems, 12 satellite communication terminals, and four border patrol vehicles.

The German government also updated the list of aid it plans to provide to Ukraine in the future. It now includes an additional 10 Bergepanzer 2 armored recovery vehicles, and 20 anti-drone sensor and jamming systems.
