Denmark to provide military aid package to Ukraine worth more than $400 million

Denmark will allocate 2.6 billion Danish crowns, equivalent to more than $407 million, as part of its 27th military aid package for Ukraine, the Danish Ministry of Defense reported.

Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen informed the Foreign Policy Committee about the 27th aid package on 26 September. The package includes donations through Ukrainian defense industry worth nearly 1.6 billion crowns ($250 million), with an additional billion crowns ($156.6 million) allocated for other donations.

“We know that there is still unused capacity in the Ukrainian defense industry. That is why today we are allocating an additional nearly 1.6 billion crowns to the so-called Danish model,” Poulsen said.

The Danish model represents a framework for supporting Ukrainian defense production capabilities. Denmark has allocated approximately 5.9 billion crowns (over $920 million) for the Danish model during 2024-2027. The country has approved donation commitments totaling around 18.5 billion crowns ($2.9 billion) within the Danish model framework from 2024 to 2027.

According to the Ministry of Defense, these commitments became possible largely due to contributions from allies, particularly from the European Union.

Denmark’s support for Ukrainian defense production extends beyond financial assistance. In June 2025, Denmark allocated $77.8 million to launch Ukrainian defense production on Danish territory. On 3 September, reports emerged that Ukrainian company FPRT will launch solid rocket fuel production in Denmark starting 1 December.

The 27th aid package demonstrates Denmark’s continued commitment to supporting Ukraine’s defense capabilities through both direct military assistance and industrial capacity building.
