The Trump White House said in a post on X that they are lifting up young Devarjaye “DJ” Daniel in prayer, following news that doctors have discovered three new tumors.
Daniel won the hearts of Americans across the country when he was singled out by President Donald Trump during his joint address to Congress in March. Daniel, who was diagnosed with brain cancer at the age of six and subsequently underwent more than a dozen surgeries, was made an honorary Secret Service agent.

The teen boy’s father, Theodis Daniel, recently revealed that his son has three new tumors.
“Just winging it day by day. He does have three new tumors,” Theodis said, according to FOX 7 Austin. “It’s rough, there isn’t a class that can teach you how to deal with it. You’re hearing that your child has a nasty disease.”
The White House responded on Friday, sharing photos of Daniel with President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump.

“We’re lifting up Agent DJ Daniel in prayer after his dad, Theodis, shared that DJ is now facing three new tumors,” the post said. “DJ is one of the strongest, bravest young men—and has now been sworn into 1,351 law enforcement agencies across the country.”
“Agent Daniel, you’re a true legend,” the White House added.

Theodis told FOX that they tried an experimental medicine for his son. “Look at him, he’s happy, vibrant,” he said.
Theodis also referenced his son’s signature sense of humor, which has included Daniel saying he’s “coming after you” if he sees anyone being “mean to President Trump.”
“I never know what’s going to come out of his mouth,” Theodis said. “It makes me nervous half the time, because he has jokes.”
