Republican lawmakers demanded on Wednesday that the FBI produce an unclassified record that allegedly contains evidence showing that then-Vice President Joe Biden was involved in a criminal bribery scheme with a foreign national.

Senate Budget Committee Ranking Member Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-KY) released a joint statement saying that the information was obtained from a whistleblower.

“The document, an FBI-generated FD-1023 form, allegedly details an arrangement involving an exchange of money for policy decisions,” the statement said. “Comer issued a subpoena today following legally protected disclosures to Grassley’s office.”
