The NAACP will bestow its Chairman’s Award, which honors people who “excel in public service and leverage their unique platforms to ignite and drive meaningful change,” on former Vice President Kamala Harris.
The award will be presented at the NAACP Image Awards on February 22.

The Chairman’s Award has been given to leftists galore, including former President Barack Obama, former Vice President Al Gore, Bill Clinton’s Secretary of Commerce Ron Brown, U.S. Congressman John Lewis, Congressman Bennie G. Thompson, and Congresswoman Maxine Waters. It has never been given to famed conservative economist Thomas Sowell or Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.
