“The View” co-host Sunny Hostin admitted during Wednesday’s show that, despite the talking points coming from the White House and many in media, there was some evidence that President Joe Biden and his family were involved in selling influence over the years.

Hostin and her co-hosts discussed the impending impeachment inquiry into the president — largely focused on his tenure as vice president — and she conceded that he may have been helping or at least allowing his son Hunter Biden to trade off the family name.

Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin led off, saying that she believed there had been “impropriety” and some “misrepresentations” from Biden and his surrogates regarding what he had done during that time – or how much he had been aware of what his son was doing – but she stopped short of supporting the Republicans’ plan to impeach.

“I have yet to see … something that’s evidence of a crime,” she continued, noting that the bar for impeachment was supposed to be “high crimes and misdemeanors.”

“People are going to be shocked, I completely agree with that,” Hostin replied. “I think that there has been some — shocking, right? I think that there has been some impropriety. I think that there are instances where Hunter Biden, in an attempt to show access to the vice presidency, the vice president’s office, made phone calls to ‘Daddy.'”

“I think we have the situation with [Hunter Biden’s] work in Ukraine, we have the situation with his work in China, there’s no way that political influence wasn’t a part of that,” Hostin said.

“I don’t like nepotism across the board,” she continued, pivoting to redirect the criticisms at former President Donald Trump instead.

“I understand there’s real concern there but what is upsetting to me is that … [the] Republican Party is trivializing what impeachment is,” Hostin complained, arguing that Biden was likely going to be impeached for things that did not approach the level of  “high crimes” and insisting that the accusations against Trump regarding the Ukraine phone call were far worse.
